How a custom website build works — Web Maintained Skip to content
    How it works

    Four steps. Mostly by email.

A short form, a homepage you can click, then a simple monthly plan. Here's the whole process — with honest timing.

    Step 1 of 4

You fill out a short form

It takes about two minutes. We'll email you back within two business days with next steps or a couple of quick questions.

No deposit. No commitment. No call.
    Step 2 of 4

We build a working homepage preview

You'll get a real preview link plus a short screen recording walking you through the design choices — usually within a week of us accepting your questionnaire.

Voice and cursor only — no camera call to schedule.
    Step 3 of 4

Pay month one — after you like what you see

We include two rounds of refinements on the preview. Most clients give us their answer within a week of seeing it. If it's a yes, you pay $129 CAD for month one via Stripe and we finish the remaining pages. It's a 3-month starter, then month-to-month.

Three months to start, then month-to-month. You've seen the homepage before a dollar moves.
    Step 4 of 4

We build the rest of the site and launch

From there, we finish the remaining pages in roughly one to two weeks, connect your domain (the address people type, like happyplumber.ca), launch the site, and hand over your backups and basic visitor stats.

30-day satisfaction guarantee: if you're unhappy in the first month, we refund what you've paid and end the agreement. After the three-month starter term, the plan rolls month-to-month.
    Typical end-to-end timing

Most clients go from questionnaire to a launched site within about two to four weeks total — and we only need about 30 minutes of your time across the form, the preview review, tweaks, and the contract.

    Email-first by design

    Why email-first?

Working mostly by email cuts overhead, respects your calendar, and keeps the important decisions written down so you can search them later.

And we're genuinely reachable — if a quick call would help or something's stuck, we're happy to hop on one. We just don't make a meeting the default for everything.

    Decide on your schedule
Read it, think it over, and reply when it suits you.
    Decisions in writing
Scope, timing, and tweaks — searchable later.
    No pressure cooker
Email-first means no discovery-call gauntlet and no hard sell.
